If I had a guess (and I'm a pretty good guesser), I'd guess you don't take pictures because you thought getting into the highly competitive photography industry was a good business idea. I'd guess you actually fell in love with the way you felt behind the lens. I'd guess you fell in love with the stories you were witnessing in front of the lens, and I'd even guess you fell in love with the way you told those stories. And you put yourself out there as "a photographer" and "an artist," and you tried to fit YOUR business into an industry with all the other photographers and artists and clients who inspired you — and you lost track of where your love story even figured in.

I've been there. I AM there. And I have never felt more strongly that there is a place for every single one of us — not just in our industry, but our business too. I know from experience that when our clients really see who WE are, they cannot get enough.
